William Arvil Stephens, 86 of Monticello died Saturday October 6th, 2018.
Funeral Services will be at 12 noon on Tuesday October 9th at Greers Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Bobby Therrell officiating. Interment will be at Kennesaw  Memorial Park Cemetery, Marietta.
Mr. Stephens a native of Cobb County and moved to Monticello in 1977.
He  was a Avid golfer, Fisherman, Hunter and Georgia Bulldogs fan.  Mr. Stephens coached baseball for may years at the Custer Park in Marietta. He was owner and operator of Stephens Ornamental Iron in Marietta. He was also a member of Greers Chapel Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife  of 65 years Shirley Johnson Stephens; Daughter Rebecca Stephens both of Monticello; Sons: Terry Stephens, Woodstock; Jerry Stephens, Marietta; Gary Stephens, Monticello. Grand children, Will Stephens; Jeremy Stephens; Amber McGill; Great grandchildren Marshall Stephens; Lillie Stephens; Lauren Stephens; Alanna McGill; Alexis McGill. Step Grandson Matt Curry. The family will receive friends from 10 am until 12 noon at Greers Chapel Baptist Church Tuesday prior to the funeral service.
