William G. Rodriguez, 93, of Kennesaw, died Sunday, December 16, 2018.  A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday, December 20 at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA with Deacon Michael Bickerstaff officiating.  Mr. Rodriguez was born in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico to his parents Juan Pedro Rodriguez and Rafaela Gonzalez.  He was a veteran of WWII serving in Okinawa. Mr. Rodriguez worked as a Mechanical Engineer for the Gemini Space Program, an Aeronautical Engineer for LTV, Martin Marietta, DOW and a Mechanical Engineer for Fluor Daniel from which he retired in 1987.   Survivors include his wife of 72 years, Olga Susan Baldassari Rodriguez of Kennesaw; daughters, Dilia Esther Rodriguez Goforth of Fort Meyers, FL area, Nydia Rodriguez Hanna of Marietta; grandchildren, Rebecca Goforth Bush of Mandeville, LA, Melanie Goforth Schroeder of La Jolla, CA, Michelle Hanna Mena Villal of Greenville, SC, Kelly Hanna Standridge of Kennesaw; great-grandchildren, Cate Blue Schroeder, Dalton Bush, Sebastian Mena Villal, Dominic Prolizo, Everly Mena Villal.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Juan Pedro Rodriguez and Rafaela Gonzalez of Manati, and Vega Baja, Puerto Rico.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.mariettafuneralhome.org .  Marietta Funeral Home 915 Piedmont Rd., Marietta, GA  30066  770.422.1234.
