William "Bill" H. Watkins, age 83, of Cartersville, passed away on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at his residence surrounded by family.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 14, 2022 at Acworth United Methodist Church with Lenis Black officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 13, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Collins Funeral Home, 4947 N. Main Street, Acworth, GA. Interment will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 17, 2022 at the Georgia National Cemetery.

Bill served in the U.S. Navy. He was a Devout Christian and loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend. Bill enjoyed sports and music and his greatest love was spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Joyce Watkins; survivors include his children, Susan Pitner (Jim), William Watkins, Jr (Cathy), Robert Watkins (Paula) and Amy Bryans (Steve); grandchildren, Ginny Spears (Josh), James Pitner (Brittany), Heather Bryans, William Watkins, III (Becky), Rachel Bryans (Amber), Brock Watkins (Jessica), Brooke Loyd (Duane), Courtney Tumlin (Ben), Robert Watkins (Cori) and Jakob Watkins (Jennifer); great-grandchildren, Jackson, Berkleigh, Will, Hunter, Ethan, Hadley, Bryleigh, Bentley, Everett, Josie, Cathryn, McKinly, Lindley, Grayson and Gracie; siblings, Charles Watkins (Carol) and Carolyn Ward; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other special family and friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be James Pitner, Josh Spears, Billy Watkins III, Brock Watkins, Duane Loyd, Robert Watkins and Jakob Watkins.
