Wanda Gale
Baity
Aug 2, 1960 — Aug 17, 2023
Dallas
Wanda Gale Baity, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on August 17, 2023, at the age of 63, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
Wanda was born on August 2, 1960, to Peggy Jean Redding & Lewell Rollan Benson and from the very beginning of her life, she exhibited a kind and nurturing spirit that would touch the hearts of everyone she met. She dedicated her life to her family and was a loving and devoted mother to her children, Pamela Touchton and Christopher Baity. Her role as "Mom" was her most cherished, and she instilled in her children the values of love, compassion, and perseverance.
In addition to being an incredible mother, Wanda was a doting grandmother to eight grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in her heart. Beau Causey, Anna Baity, Carrick Hart, Lillian Touchton, Alice Baity, Abram Baity, Ava Baity, and Jillian Touchton were blessed to have her as their "Meemaw." She showered them with affection, wisdom, and unwavering support, creating countless cherished memories that will forever live in their hearts.
Wanda's life was a testament to her selflessness and caring nature. She was a friend to all and her warmth and generosity touched the lives of many, leaving a lasting impact on her community including her 23 year work career with Tristate/Centurion. Wanda loved to travel with her family, going camping and on cruises and visiting aquariums and zoos. Her laugh was recognizable in a crowd and is one that has been passed down to her children & grandchildren.
Wanda is survived by her children, Pamela and Christopher (Amanda), and her eight adoring grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Rollan Benson (Cathy), countless friends and extended family members who will remember her with love and gratitude for the joy she brought to their lives.
Though Wanda has left this world, her spirit and the love she shared will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew her. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered for her unwavering love, kindness, and the indelible mark she left on all of us.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 24, 2023 from 12:00 - 2:00pm with a memorial service starting at 2pm in Acworth at Collins Funeral Home with a burial service and celebration of life planned for next month. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to her Semper K9 Assistance Dogs, the nonprofit founded by her son and daughter in-law.
