Wallace Michael "Mickey" Collier, 80, of Acworth, passed away Monday, November 4, 2024.  Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 2:00pm in the Chapel of Collins Funeral Home.  Burial will follow the service in the Liberty Hill cemetery.

Mickey was a lifelong resident of Acworth.  He was part of the first full 4 years of class at North Cobb High School, where he graduated.  He was a 3rd generation Master Mason and a member of the Acworth Lodge #176 F&AM of Acworth and was a Past Master serving the lodge in 1976.  He was also a member of the Yaarab Temple Atlanta and a member of the Kennesaw Mountain Shrine Club where he served as Colonial of the Motor Corps in 2002.  Mickey retired from Atlanta Gas Light Co., after 32 years,  and he also drove a school bus for Cobb County for 8 years.  He was very artistically talented, ie, painting, drawing and a musician.

Mickey was married to Glenda Henderson Collier for 49 years who preceded him in death, as well as his daughter, Beth Collier. He is survived by his other 2 children, Lynn Collier (David) Gerhard and Jason Collier; grandchildren, Heather Gaddis, Jessica Brown, Ryan Collier and Will Collier and 5 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 8:00pm on Thursday evening and 12:00 – 2:00pm prior to the service on Friday.
