Vester M. Tackett's Obituary
Vester M. Tackett, 87, of Rogersville, TN, formerly of Acworth, died Monday, February 8, 2016. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 on Friday, February 19th in the chapel of Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Jackie Wilkie officiating. A native of Acworth, Mr. Tackett had lived in Rogersville for 16 years. He served his country in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict and was a retired automobile mechanic. He was a member of the Church of God in Rogersville. Mr. Tackett is survived by his wife, Charolette Tackett of Rogersville; children, Jeffery Tackett of Rogersville, Monette Richardson and Keith (Heather) Tackett, both of Cartersville; grandchildren, Keisha Heath, Kerri Richardson, Justin Tackett, Kyle Tackett, and Zachary Tackett; great grandchildren, Landon, Brady, and Bryson Heath, and Nathaniel, Addison, and Olivia Grace Richardson; sister, Ruby (James) Jackson of Acworth; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends on Friday prior to the memorial service from 12:00 until 1:00 PM at Collins Funeral Home 4947 North Main St. Acworth, GA 30101 770-974-3133.
