Vera Vaughn McKinney, 83, of Marietta, died Wednesday, November 29, 2017.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 Sunday afternoon in the chapel of Collins Funeral Home with Pastor Bobby Therrell officiating.  Burial will follow in the Greers Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.  A native of Acworth, Mrs. McKinney had lived in Marietta for the last 50 years.  She was employed with Cobb County Government for 30 years and was a member of Greers Chapel Baptist Church.  Mrs. McKinney was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Eugene "Gene" McKinney and is survived by her children, Judy (Mike) Ferguson of Acworth, Mike (Mary) Myers of Acworth, Suzy (Bill) Magan of Cartersville, David (Michelle) McKinney of Douglasville, and Debbie (Chris) Blanchard of Marietta; sisters, Betty Jean (Larry) Kidd and Joyce Hayes all of Acworth; 15 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews also survive.
