Union Herrin's Obituary
Union Herrin, 80, of Acworth, died Sunday, February 28, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 Wednesday afternoon in the chapel of Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Bradford Thomas, the Rev. Wendell King and the Rev. Donald Kemp officiating. Burial will follow in Hickory Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Herrin was born in Cartersville but lived in Acworth for most of his life. He served his country in the US Marine Corps and retired from S. E. White Propane as a truck driver. He was a member of the Hickory Grove Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, June Herrin of Acworth; children, Darein Decarufel of Kennesaw and Wallace B. Herrin of Acworth; 6 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; brother, Jack Herrin and several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends prior to the funeral service on Wednesday from 12:00 until 2:00 PM at Collins Funeral Home 4947 North Main St. Acworth, GA 30101 770-974-3133.
