Uchechi Emmanuel Achilefu (fondly known as De' Uche or Uche), passed away at the age of 66 on October 16, 2022, in Acworth, GA.

He was born on March 14, 1956, in Ngodo - Umunwanwa Umuahia, Abia State, to Humphrey Nwaobasi Achilefu and Christiana Ezihe Silas - Amajo. He was the 1st son and the 2nd of 7 children born to his parents.

Uchechi graduated from Methodist College Uzuakoli, Abia State in 1974 after which he migrated to the United States of America and attended Ross Aviation Flight School in hopes of becoming a Full- time Airline Pilot. In 1982, he celebrated the birth of his son, Jeremiah Henderson, with his then spouse.

After their separation, he moved to Mesquite, Texas in 1985 where he worked at Fletchers as a Store Manager and met his 2nd spouse Wynette Allen. The couple would later move to Atlanta, Georgia which became their home state until their passing. Here, Uche would establish his Construction Cleaning Business and a fast food joint - Sha's Snack Express with his wife, Wynette.

A Tennis wizard and multiple ALTA Tennis Champion, Uchechi was best known for his love of Tennis, watching soccer and football, basketball, and Cowboy Movies - Spaghetti Westerns (as he would call them). He also had a diverse taste in music and was known for providing a daily playlist to his neighborhood that resounded from his garage.

As a beloved father, Uchechi is survived by his son, Jeremiah Henderson (Grandchildren - Jace and Jarah Henderson); daughter, Shantavia Henderson (and family), niece (and adopted daughter) Emma Omoyovwirin Emeafor (spouse - Innocent Emeafor Jnr. and son Joshua R. Emeafor).

As a beloved brother, he is survived by his siblings: elder sister - Roseline Chidinma Omoyovwirin & husband, Capt. Peter.O. Omoyovwirin; retired Auditor General Ugo (Achilefu) Anyanwu & husband, Engr. Ben Anyanwu; Engr. Chukwunyere Achilefu & wife, Honorable Clara Achilefu; Ebere Achilefu; Okechi Achilefu, and Enyioma Achilefu.

As a beloved uncle, he is survived by a clan of nieces and nephews : Eseoghene Omoyovwirin Henry -Duru (and family) , Oghenerume Omoyovwirin, Obinna Anyanwu (and family), Udochi Anyanwu (and family), Ihuoma Anyanwu Oriaku (and family) , Onyinyechi Anyanwu , Chidumaga Anyanwu Ihezuoh (and family), Ikechukwu Anyanwu, Udochi Achilefu Ekakitie , Chidinma Achilefu, Chioma Achilefu Egbarin , Ugochi Achilefu Abanum , Chukwuemeka Achilefu Ikechukwu Achilefu , Jason Achilefu , Emmanuel Achilefu , Yvonne Achilefu , Njideka .R. Achilefu, Patrick Achilefu , Ezinne Achilefu , Nkenna & Nivea Achilefu and a host of others.

As a beloved cousin and friend, he is survived by innumerable cousins such as Uzoma and Alozie Okwu, Obioha Ama - Achilefu, Ihuoma Duroha, Patience Nkwocha etc. and close friends such as 'The Boys Atlanta and Tulsa' and a host of others.

The service for Uchechi E. Achilefu will be held on November 11th, 2022, at 1pm EST at Collins Funeral Home, Acworth GA.
Recieving of guests will be from 12.30 pm to 1pm on November 11th, 2022, at Collins Funeral Home prior to the service. Reception to follow immediately after the service.
