Tommy Eugene Hamby, 70, of Marietta died Saturday, July 7, 2018. Funeral services will be Monday, July 9, 2018 at 2pm in the chapel of Marietta Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Day officiating. The family will have a private interment.

Mr. Hamby was a lifelong resident of Marietta. He owned and operated Hamby Contractors until he took a medical retirement in 2008. He was a Baptist.

Mr. Hamby is survived by his daughters, Tammy Parker of Dalton and Tracy Brown of Cartersville; sons, Tommy E. "Gene" Hamby, Jr. (Janice) of Acworth , Michael Hamby (Alesia) of Marietta, Anthony Glenn Hamby of Marietta and Jason Hamby (Bobbie) of Woodstock; parents, Ersie and Polly Hamby of Marietta, sisters, Judy Aaron (Jr) of Canton, Faye Nash (Jim) of Blairsville; brothers, Charles Hamby (Linda) of Temple, Barry Hamby of Marietta and David Hamby (Beth) of Temple; 12 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

The family receive friends at the funeral home from 1-2pm prior to the service.
