Thomas James Moore, 87, of Marietta, went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, March 21, 2017.  A Celebration of Life will be held at Marietta Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 28 at 11:30am with Dr. Mark Somers officiating.  Burial will follow at Georgia National Cemetery at 2:30pm with military honors rendered by the United States Army.

Mr. Moore served in the United States Army during WWII.  He then went to work for General Electric where he retired after 30 years.  He was a member of Noonday Baptist Church and loved playing golf.

Mr. Moore is survived by his wife of 67 years, Sybil Moore of Marietta, Ga.; daughters, Ruth Malloy (Joseph) of Des Moines, IA,; Kathy Neal of McLean, Va.;, and Cheryl Cook (Alan)of Chicago, IL; grandchildren, Liz (Dan), Marianne (Derek), Tom (Daniela), Mackenzie (Chris), David, Justin, Chris and Andy; 7 great-grandchildren; sister, Rose Reavis (Gene) of N. Wilkesboro, NC; and brother, Robert Moore of Prestonsburg, KY.; Several nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will receive friends from 9:30am to 11:30am on Tuesday, March 28 at Marietta Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers donations should be made to the Noonday Baptist Church Building Fund, 4121 Canton Rd. Marietta, GA 30066.  Online Condolences may be expressed at www.mariettafuneralhome.org
