Tom met his wife, Debbie, after high school. They married on December 30, 1982 in Muskogee, Oklahoma and enjoyed a loving marriage for 42 years. Tom and Debbie relocated from Tulsa, Oklahoma to Marietta, Georgia in 1986 to start a new chapter and build a family, where they proudly raised their 2 daughters, Stephanie and Abby. They later moved to their permanent residence in Acworth, Georgia.

Tom had a passion and fierce love for the Lord, where he received his associate's degree from theology school in 1996. Tom's love for evangelism led him on several mission trips, ministering at several local churches and became a youth pastor at Church of Northwest Atlanta. He then went on to start Glory Now Ministries where he held home and tent meetings.

Tom ran a successful concrete construction business for over 35 years where he helped many local families and businesses in the community.

Between his busy schedule with work, family and church, Tom also enjoyed owning saltwater fish where another one of his passions turned into a business. Some other hobbies included going to NHRA Races, hunting, fishing, and traveling. Tom also enjoyed spending time with his beloved pets throughout his life and his Jack Russell, Jimmy Dean.

He is survived by his wife, Debbie Hill. His children, Stephanie and Michael May, and Abby Hill. His brother and sister-in-law, Roy and Carilyn Hill and his nephew Wesley Hill. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Rick and Johnie Hill, his nephew Danny Hill, and many dear relatives and friends.
