Retired CCPD Lieutenant Colonel Sherley Brown , passed away on December 18, 2016, at the age of 90 years old.  Lt. Col. Brown worked for the Cobb County Police Department from 1950 – 1985 and he served in the U.S. Navy during WWII.  He is survived by his children; Rodney Brown (Janice) of Woodstock, GA, Donald Brown (Brenda) of Hiram, GA, Linda Black of Kennesaw, GA, and Robert Brown (Carol) of Mechanicsville, VA; 10 grandchildren; 10 great great grandchildren; sister, Doris Henson of Woodstock, GA; and several nieces and nephews.
