Obituary

Sheila Jean Hall, 72, of Suches, Georgia, passed away on May 12, 2024. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 16 at 1:00pm in the chapel of Collins Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Crossroads Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 12:00pm to 1:00pm prior to the service.

Born into a large and tightly-knit family, Sheila's life was a tapestry of rich relationships and community ties. Her roots ran deep in the Cross Roads Baptist Church community where she and her family were actively involved, reflecting her strong faith and commitment to her beliefs. Sheila's childhood was filled with joyous outdoor play and neighborhood gatherings, embodying a life lived fully with loved ones. Her education, though interrupted by her decision to marry young, was a valued aspect of her early years, and she proudly watched her own family pursue their educational goals.

Sheila's deep affection for her family shone brightest when it came to her children and grandchildren. She treasured every moment with them, guiding and supporting them with unconditional love and wisdom. Her life was marked by the importance of family traditions, from festive holiday gatherings to memorable vacations that reinforced the bonds between generations. Sheila leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and the enduring power of family and faith.

Sheila is preceded in death by her parents, James and Betty Williams;daughter, Melissa Hall; and sister, Barbara Henricksen.  She is survived by her son, Jason (Shelby) Hall; grandchildren, Alex Dempsy, Myles Priest, Raegan Dempsy, Blaine Hall, Lacie Hall, and Jordan Hall; brother, Alton (Melanie) Williams; sister, Deborah Johnson; and several nieces and nephews.
