Sarah Elizabeth (Leach) Price, 95, of Acworth, went home to be with the Lord on the 21st of June, 2023.

Sarah was born on March 15, 1928 in Blue Springs, Mississippi to the late Troy and Stella (Pannell) Leach.  She married Gary Charles Price in Memphis, Tennessee on November 16, 1949.  Sarah has lived in Cobb County for 55 years and retired from the Cobb County School Board in 1997.  She is a member of First Baptist Church Acworth.

In addition to her parents, Sarah was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Gary Charles Price, her grandson, Patrick Keith Price, and two brothers, Troy Leach, Jr. and Joe Leach.  She is survived by seven children, Steve Price (Tricia) of Woodstock; Gene Price (Paula) of Marietta; David Price (Barbara) of Cartersville; Patti Simon of Kennesaw; Tim Price (Robin) of Cumming; Amy Nolting (Bret) of Knoxville, TN; and Pete Price of Acworth.  She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, Bethany Fine, Rebekah Price, Laura Latham (Patrick), Kerry Gwinn (Scott), Brad Butler (Fawn), Brady Butler (Brandi), Wesley Price (Angey), Hannah Lichota (Bryan), Sarah Williams (Jake), John Price (Lydia), and Cliff Price (Angelina) and 31 great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by one sister, Scotti Clayton of Walnut Mississippi.

A funeral service will be held in her honor at Collins Funeral Home on Main Street in Acworth on Wednesday June 28, at 12:00pm with Dr. David Joyner officiating.  The family will receive visitors two hours before the service.  Collins Funeral Home, 4947 North Main St. Acworth, GA 30101, 770-974-3133.  Sarah will be buried in Georgia Memorial Park at a later time with the family.
