Sammie J. Reaid, 96, of Acworth, Georgia passed away Tuesday, October 17, 2023.  Funeral services will be held 2:00pm, Saturday, October 21st, at Shady Grove Baptist Church, with the Rev. Wayne Wright, the Rev. Buck Parker and the Rev. Michael McPherson officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

Sammie was a "Rosie the Riveter" at the Bell Bombers plant, Lockheed, during the war.  She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church.  Sammie was a praying mother, who loved the Lord, her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She also, enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing and tending to her roses.

Sammie was preceded in death by her husband, of 73 years, Herschel T. Reaid; son, Larry D. Reaid; siblings, Catherine Burton, Hubert Dean, Clyde Dean, Talmadge Dean and Willis Dean.

She is survived by; sons, Michael (Beverly) Reaid and Tony (Karen) Reaid both of Acworth; daughter-in-law, Joyce Reaid of Acworth; 9 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; sister, Bobby King of Jacksonville, FL; nieces and nephews also survive.
