Sallie Jane Eggelston Kaufman , 98, of Johns Creek, GA, died Monday, October 10, 2016.  Funeral services will be held at 11:30am (CST) on Friday, October 14 at the Mausoleum of Elmwood Cemetery in Birmingham, AL with Father Dick Games officiating.

Mrs. Kaufman was born in Buffalo, NY and worked as the head clerk for Norfolk Southern Railway.  She was a member of St. Patrick's Episcopal Church in Dunwoody, GA and formerly an active member and Elder at East Point Presbyterian Church as well as the Children's Reading Program.

Survivors include her daughter, Judith Kaufman, of Peachtree Corners, GA; sister, Lucinda Eggelston, of Sandy Springs, GA; grandchildren, Beth Carroll Leoni, of Kennesaw, GA and Daniel Carroll, of Lookout Mountain, TN; great-grandchildren, Megan Leoni, Michael Leoni, Griffin Leoni, Reed Carroll, and Wesley Carroll.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Julius Kaufman and two grandsons, David Reed Carroll and Benjamin Adair Carroll.
