Ruby A. Brooks, 95, of Acworth, died Sunday, July 21, 2019.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 Wednesday afternoon in the Chapel of Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. John Brooks and the Rev. Jeff Brooks officiating.  Burial will follow in Pine Ridge Memorial Park.  A native of the community of Long Island, Alabama, Jackson County, Mrs. Brooks had lived in Acworth for 78 years.  She was a retired school bus driver with the Cobb County School System and a member of River of Life Church of God in Woodstock.  Mrs. Brooks was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Brooks and sons, Don and Alan Brooks.  She is survived by her sons, Glenn Brooks of Acworth and Ray "Cotton" Brooks of Dalton; daughters, Susan Brooks of Decatur, Janet Brooks Yates and Patsy Brooks Mullinax, both of Acworth; 13 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 6 great great grandchildren; sister, Irene Nunley of Canton; brother, William "Bill" Stokes of Emerson; several nieces and nephews also survive;  The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 on Tuesday evening at Collins Funeral Home 4947 North Main St. Acworth, GA 30101 770-974-3133.
