Richard O'neal Smith, 77, of Acworth, passed away Saturday, December 19, 2020.  A private funeral service will be held at 12:00pm on Tuesday, December 22 at Collins Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park.

Richard was an avid Braves fan and an extensive world traveler.  He is preceded in death by his wife, Linda Smith; Dee Alexander; parents, Claude and Lillie Smith; siblings, Wayne Smith, Pauline Mason, Irene Henson, Milford Smith, Doris Setser, and Dolly Mae Collett.  He is survived by his sons, Trent Smith, and Kent Smith; sister, Brenda McDonald; grandchildren, David Smith, Zena Smith, and Haley Smith; nieces and nephews, Regina Smith, Julia Smith Scott (Steve), Kim Smith Cable (Chuck), Billy Smith, Tammie Connor, and many others; and brother-in-law, Sonny Alley.
