Richard Vonde Hayes, Sr.'s Obituary
Richard Vonde Hayes, Sr. died peacefully on August 12, 2018. Richard was born in Conyers, Georgia on October 23, 1936, the son of Lucy and Milouse Hayes. He graduated from Murphy High School. Richard was preceded in death by his loving wife of 59 years, Martha Evelyn Hayes. He worked at Lockheed then Delta Airlines as an Avionics Mechanic until his retirement. He was an avid golfer, Atlanta Braves and Georgia Bulldog fan. Richard will be missed by all who loved him, especially his sons, Rich (Laurisa) of Kennesaw and Jeff (Jeannie) of Kennesaw; grandchildren, Taylor, Katie, Austin and Maddie; and brother Billy (Jan). Richard attended Noonday Baptist Church in Marietta.
Visitation for Mr. Hayes will be held at Marietta Funeral Home from 10-12 on Thursday, August 16, 2018 immediately followed by a memorial service at 12:00. Interment will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Noonday Baptist Church, Marietta, Georgia.
