Obituary

Reba Suzanne Rosen, 64, of Dallas, Georgia (formally of Boise, Idaho) passed away Thursday, September 14, 2017. A celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, September 23, 2017 , drop in between 4-7pm at the home of Scott and Julia Richards and Joseph Rosen at 19 Meadowlark Court, Dallas, GA 30132.

Reba was born in New York City.
Reba was preceded in death by her mother, Louise Rosen and is survived by her father Joseph Rosen, sisters, Carol Rosen and  Julia Richards, her Brother in law, J. Scott Richards, Sr., her nieces Nicole Fishman and Jennifer Sheehan  (Jonathan Sheehan), her Step Nephews, Scott Richards, II and Jeremy Richards (Milica Richards), her Nephew Ryan Richards, (Leanna Richards), her great niece, Miana Fishman, Great Nephews, Pax Richards and the newest addition to the family, Alek Richards.

Reba was the oldest of 3 girls and had just moved to Dallas Georgia to live out the rest of her days surrounded by the love of her family.

? We had her here in Georgia for 4 days before she passed away.?

As we were growing up, we spent a lot of time with our little family.  We were very close to our cousins and they felt more like extended brothers and sisters than cousins. They all pulled together to bring Reba here to Georgia just days before she passed so she could spend her last days cared for by her family. Reba has been living in Boise Idaho working as a Barber for the past several years enjoying life with her beloved Corgi, Annie and sweet kitty, Z.

We had the privilege of getting to know her friends in Boise and it was obvious they loved her just as much as we did. Reba never met a stranger and everybody loved her bright smile, joyful spirit and compassionate nature.

As the Cancer took hold of her body, our sister Carol went to Boise to help care for her. When it became obvious she was nearing her last days, Reba agreed to leave her wonderful Boise friends and live out her last days with us here in Georgia, Our precious Reba passed away peacefully in Dallas, GA among her family.  St. Luke's Hospice in Idaho and then Heartland Hospice in Acworth took wonderful care of her and our family is very grateful for their compassionate services.

We will miss her laugh, her sense of humor, her love for Annie and Z, her compassion for all around her, the unbelievable way she had of making everyone feel special. We will miss her daily texts that always had some sort of cheery emoji to brighten our day

We will always cherish her love for all of her friends and family, always being positive and her strength in the midst of this dreadful sickness that took her life.  Boy was she a fighter.

Cancer kicked her butt in the end but we will always remember her as full of life and full of love.

Our cousin Bobby sent this quote that we'd like to share:

"Love is not changed by death And nothing is lost And all in the end is harvest." ...Edith Sitwell

May the memory of Reba's spirit and sweet soul be a blessing for all of us.

We feel blessed that God gave us such a special sister, aunt, cousin, daughter, friend to share this life with.

We are so grateful for all the prayer, support and encouragement from friends and family.

Thank you all!

Life is short friends. Don't let petty grievances and unnecessary family drama rob you of the precious gift of family.
