Pamela Disher Warren passed away on Monday, May 11th surrounded by family after a short illness. She was born to CP and Willie Disher in Winston Salem on December 31st, 1949. She was followed by her beloved siblings, Angie and Mark. They were surrounded by love with Mawmaw Disher, Granddaddy, and beloved Aunt Mary and Aunt Beulah. After graduation from North Forsyth County High school, she attended nursing school and there she learned skills that she would leverage to care for patients and her family for all of her days. She was a consummate care giver. She met her husband Ronald Dean Warren while working as a nurse in Raleigh, NC. Ron had suffered a heart attack and she was his nurse. (She gave him her phone number and told him not to call until he was out of the hospital. Her phone was ringing when she got home from work that very day. And they were together from that point forward.) They married on January 30th, 1976 (or 31st - depending on which one you asked). She joined with him and his children, Joe, Beth, and Laura. And they later welcomed their daughter, Meredith. They moved to Acworth, Georgia in 1980 and remained there in love and joy until Ron passed away in 2022.

Pam worked for years at Smyrna Hospital, as an ICU nurse, a House Supervisor, educator, and other various roles that needed her. She loved the people and community there deeply. No matter where she worked, she always found her flock. Brenda, Cheryl, Becky, Susan, and many more made her work a joy for her. She was a passionate caregiver. She was available to family, friends, and strangers to help understand what was happening in times of medical need and to give advice and comfort. She cared for her husband as he had a successful heart transplant. She cared for her sister as she dealt with Multiple Sclerosis. She showed up for the people in her life in immeasurable ways.

She loved cross stitching, gardening, riding bicycles, traveling, and watching the Braves, the Dawgs, and almost every ACC North Carolina team…. as long as they weren't the Tarheels. Pam and Ron traveled anywhere and everywhere. A road trip to San Francisco, a cross country Canadian road trip, Yellowstone, and all the spots here and between were favorite vacations. And don't get me started with the dogs. She loved her dogs. Jett, Bartleby, and Spotty are really going to miss their momma.

Pamela is survived by her brother Mark Disher and his wife Teri of Walnut Cove, North Carolina, her daughter and son-in-law, Meredith and Charles Wann of Powder Springs, her beloved bonus children Joseph Warren and his wife Patty, Beth McClure and her beloved Michael Frantz, and Laura Petty, grandchildren Barbara McClure and her husband James Chapman, Charlie McClure, Stephen McClure, Theresa Newman and her husband John, Dan Warren and his wife Danielle. She also loved being a Gigi to great grand children Zoe, Eloise, Logan, and Chloe. And the Warren Family that welcomed and loved her, Carolyn, Jean and so many nieces and nephews. Friends, many friends and neighbors have reached out to support and love her in the last few years. She was blessed and loved. Thank you.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to LifeLink of Georgia to support their mission in organ transplants -Ron's heart transplant allowed him over 20 additional years with her- or Mostly Mutts of Kennesaw, Georgia which allowed her the opportunity to find Jett and Bartleby!
