Otis Raymond Freels , 71, of Marietta, died Wednesday, January 13, 2016.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 2pm at Macland Baptist Church with Dr. Richard Walker officiating.  Burial will follow at Mountain View Park Cemetery.

Mr. Freels was a Tennessee native but lived most of his life in Cobb County.  He retired from Lockheed in 2000 after over 30 years of service.  He was a member of Nelms Lodge #323 Smyrna; He was a 32 degree Scottish Rite Mason, Valley of Atlanta; Yarrab Shrine Temple, Atlanta; and Kennesaw Mountain Shrine Club where he served as Parade Marshall.

He is survived by his wife, Jerry Freels, of Marietta; daughter, Robin Bearden, of Marietta; Mother, Juanita Freels, of Oliver Springs, TN; brother, Thurman Freels, of Taccoa, GA; grandchildren, Jacob and Katie Bearden; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Friday at Marietta Funeral Home, 915 Piedmont Road, Marietta, GA 30066.  The body will lie-in-state from 1-2pm on Saturday prior to the service at Macland Baptist Church.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Macland Baptist Church "Property Fund", 3732 Macland Rd, Powder Springs, GA 30127 or to Yarrab Temple "Hospital Fund" C/O Kennesaw Mountain Shrine Club, PO Box 496, Marietta, GA 30061.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.mariettafuneralhome.org .
