Norma Jean Matthews, 87, of Acworth, passed away on Sunday, October 11.  A private family service will be held on Wednesday, October 14.  Mrs. Matthews was a member of Calvary Baptist church and will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She is survived by her children, Steve Matthews, of Acworth, Cindy (Kenneth) McAlister, of Rockmart, Victor (Charlotte) Matthews, of Cartersville, Linda Matthews, of Acworth, and Elizabeth Matthews, of Cartersville; sister, Helen Churchwell, of Benton, TN; brother, Earl Collette, of Cleveland, TN; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.  The family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Tuesday, October 13 at Collins Funeral Home, 4947 N.
