Obituary

Noreen Clarke Mello, 80, of Acworth, died Thursday, January 24, 2019.  A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 Monday morning in St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church.  The Rev. Neil Dhabliwala will officiate with burial following in Rolling Hills Memory Gardens.  A native of Rhode Island, Mrs. Mello had lived in Acworth for several years and was previously employed as a sales associate with the K-Mart Corporation.  She was a member of the Red Hat Society, a volunteer for the St. Vincent DePaul Society and a very active member of St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church.  Mrs. Mello was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Joseph Mello and is survived by her children, Alfred (Michelle) Mello of Douglasville, Shannon (Peter) McGirr of West Islip, NY, Melinda "Mindy" (Ken) Aguiar of Powder Springs, Victor (Judy) Mello of Dallas, and Margaret "Peggy" (Carly Bone) Mello of Kennesaw; 10 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; brother, Charles Clarke of Portsmouth, RI; several nieces and nephews also survive. Flowers are accepted or contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital at www.stjude.org. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 9:00 on Sunday evening at Collins Funeral Home 4947 North Main St. Acworth, GA 30101 770-974-3133.
