Nicole Anna Gilbert, age 50, passed away Thursday September 23, 2021 surrounded by family at Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, Georgia.
Nicole was born on September 30, 1970 in St. Petersburg Florida. She resided the later part of her life in Marietta, Georgia.
Nicole is survived by her son Derik Gilbert, his wife Emilee, grandchildren Harrison (4) and Hadlee (2), with another grand baby on the way. Her mother Tobi Olsen. Her father Anton Turek, his wife Emily. Her sister Alyssa Samara, her husband Yuseff, and her brothers Tony Turek, Alex Turek, his wife Stacey. Her boyfriend David Morson, and family.
She spent her younger years sailing competitively in St. Pete Beach, Florida and enjoyed traveling the Gulf and Caribbean.
She was a great friend and a loving mother. She was kind, fun-loving and selfless. Her greatest joy in life was her son and her grand babies. She was the silly Mimi who always had the good snacks, was always looking to jump out and scare you, surprise toys and fun adventures planned.
Nicole was the owner of Nicole's Dog Gone Cute Grooming in Roswell, GA where she shared her passion with her customers both human and fur.
Her presence will be greatly missed in the lives of those who loved her.
A Memorial will be held at Qualusi Vineyards in Acworth, Ga on Wednesday October 6th 4:00 PM.
The family ask that all wear bright tropical colors as this will be a celebration of her life and love for the beach and sailing.
