Murl Franklin Stansel, Sr., 71, of Acworth, passed away Thursday, March 10, 2022.  Funeral services will be held, 2:00pm Tuesday afternoon in the Chapel of Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Randy Hall officiating.  Burial will follow in the Shiloh United Methodist Cemetery.  Murl loved to pick his guitar and played 10 instruments.  He was of the Baptist faith.  Murl is survived by his wife, Deborah Stansel of Acworth; children, Murl Franklin (Tamala) Stansel, Jr. of Temple, Charles Eugene (Rene) Stansel of Rydal and Ashley Stansel of Kentucky.  8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren also survive.  The family will receive friends Monday evening from 5:00-8:00.
