Millard "Leon" Dean, 83, of Marietta, died Wednesday, May 24, 2017.  A funeral service will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday, May 30 in the chapel of Marietta Funeral Home.

Mr. Dean was born in Rome, GA and lived most of his life in Marietta.  He served in the Army from 1953 to 1961, and was a former commander at VFW Post 2681.  He was also a salesman for Standard Oil/Quaker State and retired in 1988.

Mr. Dean is survived by his daughter, Cheri Gibbs; son, David Dean; sister, Quanita Herring; brothers, Dale Dean, Vernon Dean and Butch Dean; grandchildren, Shelby Thomas, Mathew Gibbs, Katie McFalls and John Dean; and great grandson, Caleb McFalls.
