Woodstock
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Michael "Big Mike" Mlaska, a beloved 68-year-old Father, on August 31st. Mike departed this world in the comfort of his home, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and cherished memories.
Born on October 9th, Mike was the youngest child of Louis and Eloise and was raised with his older brother, Bill. He grew up in California and attended Chula Vista Highschool and San Diego State University, where he excelled academically and displayed an early passion for engine maintenance and repair.
Mike's professional journey was marked by owning and operating his own business, building it from the ground up. His dedication and expertise in his field made him highly respected by colleagues and peers. Mike left an indelible mark on the industry and will be remembered for his contributions.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Mike was a loving husband and father who touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. He was known for his goofy personality, and his jokes could make anyone smile. Mike had an enduring love for collecting rare coins, and he shared this enthusiasm with his daughters, creating countless cherished moments together.
Mike is survived by his wife, Michelle; his daughters, Jessica and Caroline Mlaska; and his brother, Bill who will continue to honor his memory by carrying forward the values and principles that Mike held dear. He will be deeply missed by his extended family, friends, and all those whose lives were enriched by his presence.
A Celebration of Life visitation will be held on September 9th between 2PM – 4PM at Collins Funeral Home in Acworth, GA. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects and share their memories of Mike.
As we say goodbye to Mike, let us remember the joy he brought into our lives and the enduring impact he made on all who had the privilege of knowing him. Mike's spirit will live on in our hearts forever, a testament to a life well-lived and a legacy of love and kindness that will continue to inspire us all.
Rest in peace, Mike. You will always hold a special place in our hearts. The world will never know a better Superman.
