Mary Whipkey's Obituary
Mary Whipkey, 76, of Acworth, died Tuesday, January 26, 2016. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 Saturday afternoon in the chapel of Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Eddie Middleton officiating. Ms. Whipkey was born in Greensboro, NC and had lived in Acworth for the last 12 years. She was a retired from DSI, Inc. as an office manager. Surviving are her children, Dale Lockamy of Acworth and Ivy (Richard) Moss of Dallas; grandchildren, DeFon Haynes, Cassie Haynes, Paige Haynes, Georgia Haynes, and Hunter Haynes; great grandchildren, Preston Willingham, SJ Huggins, and Mason Dias; sister, Pat Robinson of Greenville, SC; brother, Robert Kernodle of Greenville, SC; several nieces and nephews also survive. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society at

. The family will receive friends for 1 hour prior to the memorial service on Saturday afternoon (1:00-2:00) at Collins Funeral Home 4947 North Main St. Acworth, GA 30101 770-974-3133.
