Mary Guess Waits' Obituary
Mary Guess Waits, 89, of Acworth, died Sunday, March 4, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 Wednesday afternoon in the Acworth United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jim Aiken and the Rev. Terrence Hull officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Ridge Memorial Park. She will lie in state in the church from 1:00 until 2:00 PM. Mrs. Waits was born in Bartow County and had lived in Acworth all of her life. She was a retired employee of Sears Roebuck and Co and a member of Acworth United Methodist Church. Mrs. Waits was preceded in death by her husband, Julius C. Waits and is survived by her daughter, Susan Waits Roughton of Acworth; grandchildren, Courtney (Jason) Seals of Dallas and Cody (Stephanie) Roughton of Powder Springs; great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Landon, Brayden, and Jaxson; sister, Karlene Baldwin of Tucker; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at Collins Funeral Home 4947 North Main St. Acworth, GA 30101 770-974-3133.
