Obituary

Mary Margaret Bell, age 97, of Woodstock, Georgia, passed away peacefully October 30, 2019.  Mary Margaret was born on August 7, 1922, in North Vernon, Indiana.  She was one of thirteen children to Everett and Lillie Lavinia Ralstin.   She served honorably during World War II as an ARMY Nurse after graduating from Ball General Hospital School of Nursing in Muncie, Indiana.
After World War II, she married C.T. "Pete" Bell of Alpena, Arkansas who preceded her in death as well as one daughter, Cheryl Glee who passed away during infancy.Together, they operated a dairy farm and built a happy life.  She is survived by daughter, Carol Marie Grandstaff and husband Thomas Jeff of Woodstock, Georgia, two grandsons, Geoffrey Scott Grandstaff of Woodstock, Georgia, and Adam Bryan Grandstaff (wife Sarah Bader) of Kennesaw, Georgia, two great-grandchildren Thomas James and Anna Marie Grandstaff of Kennesaw, Georgia, one sister Josephine Taylor of Rushville, Indiana, one brother Paul Ed Ralstin of Crossville, Tennessee and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mary Margret loved to read, crochet, complete crossword puzzles, grow tomatoes and go for long walks.  She was a Christian by faith and found strength in reading the Bible.  Her grandsons loved her fried chicken and lemon meringue pies.
During her last twelve years Mary Margaret lived happily with her daughter, Carol Marie.  She loved deeply her grandsons and two great-grandchildren.  Two loving dogs, Bentley and Jackson, brought great joy to her life.
Mary worked as a Registered Nurse during her professional career and volunteered many years to charitable works.
The interment will be held at Dog Branch Cemetery in Carroll County, Arkansas on Saturday, November 23 at 11:00 A.M. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity.
