Martha A. Mabry Ray, 70, of Marietta passed away Tuesday, September 26, 2017. Funeral services will be Saturday, September 30, 2017 at 11am at Mt. Paran North with Dr. Mark Walker and Rev. Jimmy Hood officiating. The remains will be at the church at 10am. Interment will follow at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Ray was a lifelong resident of Cobb County descending from the Robert Mabry family that settled in newly created Cobb County, Georgia in 1841. She was the daughter of the late Hagood and Bertha Mabry. Mrs. Ray was a longtime member of Mt. Paran North and was a real estate agent employed with Atlanta Communities since 1983. She was also a member of the Genealogy Society of Cobb County, Georgia and had a passion for working for the human rights of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Above all, she was a dedicated mom and grandmother and faithful servant to the Lord.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Dwight Ray; daughters, Tammy Massey (Robbie) of White, GA and Tina Blumberg (Drew) of Roswell; son, Stephen Dwight Ray (Christy) of Woodstock; brothers, Doug Mabry of Carrollton and Sanford Mabry of Marietta; grandchildren, Rebecca Bready, Haley Blumberg, Cody Ray and Sarah Ray; uncle, Billy Mabry.

The family will receive friends Friday from 6-8pm at Marietta Funeral Home.
