Marjorie Brown, 88, of Acworth, died Wednesday, May 8, 2019.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 Saturday afternoon in the County Line United Methodist Church with the Rev. Steven Riddle and the Rev. Katie Strahls officiating.  She will lie in state at the church from 1:00 until 2:00.  Interment Georgia National Cemetery at 10:00 AM on Thursday, May 16, 2019.  Mrs. Brown was born in Albertville, AL but had lived in Acworth for most of her life.  She was a retired bookkeeper with, among others, Acworth Pharmacy and Battle Foods and was a member of County Line United Methodist Church.  Preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Hinton Eugene Brown, Mrs. Brown is survived by her daughters, Shelia (Tom) Burnett of Decatur and Babs Calhoun of Woodstock; sons, Ted Brown of Dallas and Chris Brown of Acworth; grandchildren, Richard Burnett, Samuel (Leslie) Calhoun, Christy and Adam Brown; several nieces and nephews also survive.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the County Line United Methodist Church Music Ministry 1183 County Line Rd.
