Marie Haney Mcpherson's Obituary
Marie Haney McPherson, 88, of Dalton, died Monday, August 15, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 Thursday afternoon in New Hope Baptist Church with the Rev. Brad Dewberry and Rev. Richard Goodwin officiating. Burial will be Friday at 12:00pm in Rolling Hills Memory Gardens. Mrs. McPherson was a life long resident of Acworth. She had retired from Sears in 1991 after 25 years of service. Mrs. McPherson was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother and aunt. Mrs. McPherson was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Jim McPherson; sister Gertrude Wallace; brothers Hubert Haney and Horace Haney. She is survived by her son, Jim McPherson of Dalton; grandchildren, Shawn Holmes, James McPherson and Valerie Holmes; 10 great grandchildren; sister-in-laws Pat Wybark of Rome and Juanita Haney of Dallas also survive. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6:00 until 9:00 PM at Collins Funeral Home 4947 North Main St. Acworth, GA 30101 770-974-3133.
