Mrs. Margie Elizabeth Patterson, 86 of Lawrenceville passed away on July 22, 2026. Family was always important to Margie and she had a solid foundation in her belief in Jesus. She worked for over 30 years for the Douglas County School System as a food service worker until she retired. Margie was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Patterson; parents, Thomas A. Bennett and Annie Payne Bennett; brothers, Thomas Bennett, George Bennett, James Bennett, Watson Bennett and Ernest Bennett; sisters, Lurene Fowler, Magalene Chumley and Virginia Walraven. She is survived by her children, Dale Patterson, Michael Patterson and Debbie Bonds Hester;  grandchildren, Jerry Patterson, Michael Patterson, Stephanie Patterson, Matthew Patterson, Rhea Bonds, Casey Bonds, Michelle Abarca, Katie Abarca; great-grandchildren, Ruby Bonds, Lucas Hunt, Eli Hunt, Finn Hunt, Jaeden Patterson, Tristan Patterson, Lyanna Patel, Dylan Patterson, Alaina Patterson. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 31, 2026 at 2:00 pm from the Chapel of Collins Funeral Home in Acworth. Burial will follow in Emerson City Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
