Marcia Gwen (Rogers) Offerman passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, at Wellstar Tranquility Hospice, after a long battle with kidney disease in Marietta Georgia on April 19, 2017. Born March 18th, 1939 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Marcia lived most of her life in Syracuse (Marcellus) NY. Her parents were William Dixon Rogers and Gwendolyn Prichard Rogers of Syracuse NY.
In 1995, she and her husband settled in Marietta Georgia and were surrounded by their children. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Robert Mills Offerman and three children, a son Russell Offerman of Marietta, a daughter Heidi (Jay) Wozniacki of Marietta and Kim (Rob) Rickard of Newton MA. She is also survived by a brother, Ernest Prichard (E.P.) Rogers of Naples Fl. And more friends than we could ever name. The joys of her life were her four granddaughters, Taylor Wozniacki (21), Julia Wozniacki (18), Cassidy Rickard (3), and Olivia Offerman (1).
Marcia worked as Office Manager for Mathias Kill DDS for more than 20 years. She was an active member of Transfiguration Catholic Church, she volunteered for the food pantry, St. Vincent DePaul thrift shop, as well as the support the troops committee. Aside from a deep love for her family, Marica had a love for gardening, cooking, and traveling with her husband. Services include Visitation (Calling Hours) at Marietta Funeral Home, on Sunday April 23rd from 3-5 pm in Marietta GA, and a Funeral Mass at Transfiguration Catholic Church Monday April 24th at 11am; 1815 Blackwell Road Marietta 30066, MSG Patrick Bishop will preside over the service.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested a donation be made to Wellstar Tranquility Hospice C/O Wellstar Foundation 805 Sandy Plains Rd Suite 100 Marietta GA 30066, in gratitude for the gift of a peaceful transition and the gentle care given to Marica and the family in the final days.
