Luis Rodriguez, 89, passed away on August 26, 2021 at Northstar Place in Kennesaw, Georgia.

Luis was born in Cardenas, Cuba on December 9, 1931 to Jose Antonio Rodriguez Maristany and Maria Remedios Dolores Lagos Fernandez.  He graduated from Lees McRae College in Banner Elk, North Carolina in 1952.  He retired from Blue Bird Body Company after 30 years of service. Luis was a very active member of the Fort Valley Presbyterian Church and the Warrenton First United Methodist Church where he served in many capacities. He was also a dedicated member of the Fort Valley Lions Club where he served as President and was awarded the Kevin Jones Fellow for his humanitarian service. Luis loved to make furniture in his shop, paint, spend time with his family, and tell stories of his life back in Cuba.

Luis is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Maria Luisa Rodriguez, Kennesaw, Georgia, his two daughters, Alexandra Rodriguez Davis (Tony), Springfield, Georgia,  and Ana Rodriguez Horton (Kenny), Dallas, Georgia, his two brothers, Orlando Rodriguez (Nery), Miami, Florida, and Tony Rodriguez (Joan), Macon, Georgia.  He is also survived by four grandchildren, Andrew Johnson (Katy), Athens, Georgia, Maria Celeste Johnson, Athens, Georgia, Isabella Horton and Chandler Horton, Dallas, Georgia, great grandson, Bennett Johnson and many nieces and nephews.
