Mr. Lonnie A. Taylor, age 84, of Marietta passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2023.

Mr. Taylor was born on April 1, 1938 in Atlanta, GA to the late Mr. Harley Taylor and the late Mrs. Sara Walker. Lonnie retired from Lockheed Martin after working as a flight line inspector. He proudly served in the United States Air Force. He was a member of the Jonesboro Lodge #87 F&AM and Yaarab Shrine Temple Atlanta. He was also a member of the Potentates Escort Unit and was honored on the Wall of Fame at the Yaarab Temple. He was devoted to his family and his friends and will be missed by many.

Survivors include his two daughters, Tandra Gunby and Shannon Taylor; son, Robert Craig Taylor, four grandchildren, Hannah Comer (Chad), Alex Field (Sarah), Zachary Owens (Dru-Ann), and Ashleigh Thompson (Kyle); ten great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at 12:30pm from the Chapel of Collins Funeral Home with Rev. Dennis Bellamy officiating. Inurnment to follow at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, February 18th from 11:30am until 12:30pm.
