Linford "Lum" Meador, 83, of Acworth, passed away Friday, April 19, 2024.  Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday 2:00pm in the Oak Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Awtry Dean, Rev. Bobby McFarland and Rev. Nathan Smith officiating.  Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery.

Mr. Meador served in the US Army reserve for 17 years and retired from the US Postal Service.  He also worked at Collins Funeral home and was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.

Mr. Meador is survived by his wife, Catherine Meador of Acworth; sons, Barry (Vanessa) Meador of Cedartown and Eric (Jennifer) Meador of Acworth; grandchildren, Kimberly (Kyle Hurst) Meador, Kelli (Wesley) Fields, Bradley Meador, Hannah (Zach) Grady, Graci Raines, Tyler (Ashley) Raines, Jamie Meador and MaKayle Meador; 7 great grandchildren; sisters, Pat Hamby of Ellijay and Faye Daniel of Hartwell; brother, Dilliard (Martha) Meador of Acworth.
