Kenneth Lee Evans, 71, of Dallas, died Monday, April 22, 2019.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 Friday afternoon in the chapel of Collins Funeral home with Pastor John Benning and Pastor Jerry Smith officiating.  Burial will follow in Pine Ridge Memorial Park.  Kenny was born in Acworth and was a lifelong resident of the Acworth area.  He served his country in the US Army during the Viet Nam War and retired from Bell South.  Kenny was a member of the CWA, Pioneers Club, and Acworth Grace Fellowship.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Marjorie Durham Evans, and his brother, Charles Evans.  Surviving are his wife, Sharon Evans of Dallas; children, Stephanie Bennett of Canton, Jessica (Luke) Wangen of Acworth, and Christopher Evans of Dallas; grandson, Carson Lee Wangen of Acworth; son in law, Randy Bennett of Kingston; several nieces and nephews also survive.  The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday and prior to the funeral service on Friday from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM at Collins Funeral Home, 4947 North Main St. Acworth, GA 30101 770-974-3133.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.collinsfuneralhome.org.
