Kathy Lynn Kirby's Obituary
Kathy Lynn Kirby, 68, of Colbert, formerly of Acworth, died Thursday April 14, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 Saturday afternoon in the chapel of Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Abbott officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Hill Cemetery. Kathy was born in Cedartown but grew up in Acworth and always considered Acworth her home, no matter where she lived. She was a 1966 graduate of North Cobb High School, was formerly employed as office manager with RMCA in Marietta and was a member of Acworth First Baptist Church. Kathy loved to play darts, oil paint, and crochet. Surviving are her children, Joey (Tonya) Sumrall of Danielsville, Tawny (Don) Hudspeth of Canton, Tami Karim of Calhoun, Lisa (Roy) Coleman of Atlanta, and Mandy Sumrall of Mississippi; grandchildren, Nicole Mann, Christopher Mann, Tori Sumrall, Tyler Hooper, Trey Sumrall, Leah Karim and Haley McFalls; siblings, Billy (Gina) Kirby of Cartersville, Marie (Robbie) Payne of Jasper, and Sandra (Todd) Croft of Emerson; 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends prior to the funeral service on Saturday from 12:00 until 2:00 PM at Collins Funeral Home 4947 North Main St. Acworth, GA 30101 770-974-3133.
