Obituary

? Kathleen Jones Brackett, 81, of Marietta died Thursday, June 21, 2016.  A memorial service will be held at 3:00 Tuesday afternoon in the chapel of Marietta Funeral Home.  Mrs. Brackett was born in Blairsville, Ga. on June 5, 1935, to Narvey James Jones and Fannie Belle Potts Jones and married Harold Brackett in 1952.  A devoted wife and mother, Mrs. Brackett was a friend to many people whom she enjoyed helping whenever she could.  She was blessed with a generous heart and was a dedicated worker and home maker.  Mrs. Brackett had many hobbies and activities and was a renowned "clean" fanatic.  She will be dearly missed by all.  She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Jerry and husband, Bill Young, and many sisters, brothers, nieces, and nephews.  Surviving are Harold Brackett; sons, Dale Brackett of Woodstock and Alan Brackett of Marietta; grandsons, Joey Brackett of Marietta and Troy Young of Acworth; brother, Grady Jones (Brenda) of Blairsville; special niece, Shirley Stockton who was so supportive of her aunt; dear friend, Joe Walraven of Marietta; several nieces and nephews also survive.  The family will receive friends prior to the memorial service on Tuesday from 2:00 until 3:00 PM at Marietta Funeral Home 915 Piedmont Rd.
