Joyce McCoy Avritt, 73, of Acworth, died Tuesday, October 18th, 2016.  A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, October 19th, 2016 in the chapel of Collins Funeral Home with Rev. Rex Cox officiating.  Burial will follow in Rolling Hills Memory Gardens.  Ms. Avritt was a resident of Acworth for most of her life, and graduated from North Cobb High School in 1961.  She was a member of South Cherokee Baptist Church and retired in 2008 from Shaw Industries where she worked as a secretary.

Ms. Avritt is preceded in death by her mother, Ada Chandler; father, William Thomas McCoy; stepfather, Doc Chandler and great grandson, John Henry Thomas.  She is survived by her daughter, Darlene Moss, of Acworth; Grandchildren, Kimberly Dobbins Thomas (Kevin) of Boomer, North Carolina, Katherine Dobbins Travis (Joshua), of Woodstock, Austin Robinson, of Acworth; great grandchildren, Jessin, Jonah and David; sister, Sheila Asher, of Acworth along with several nieces and nephews.

The following gentlemen have been requested to serve as pallbearers and are asked to arrive at the funeral home no later than 10:00am on Thursday: Austin Robinson, Kevin Thomas, Anthony Berry, Joshua Travis, Cody Berry, Mike Kinsey, Brody Kinsey and Chandler Feralin.

The family will be receiving friends on Wednesday, October 19th from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Collins Funeral Home, 4947 N. Main St. Acworth, GA 30101.  Flowers or donations to the Michael J.
