Jonathan Sterling Johnston, 45, of Acworth, Georgia, passed away on December 20, 2025. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2025 at 01:00pm, Collins Funeral Home in Acworth, Georgia.

Jonathan was born in Marietta, Georgia and grew up in Paulding County, Georgia.  Jonathan was a member of Wildwood Baptist Church in Kennesaw, Georgia where he had accepted Christ as his Savior and was baptized.  Jonathan was the owner/operator of Sterling Knives, a small, local business in Acworth.

Jon loved God and relied on his faith in Jesus Christ. Jon enjoyed time with family, basketball, and martial arts, including Jui-jitsu, for which he was awarded a black belt from Warrior Jui-jitsu in Acworth.  Jon was passionate about forging custom knives, a craft he taught himself.  In addition,  Jon loved animals, especially his family's pets, Yoshi and Harley.

Jon was married in 2001 and gained a step-son, Joshua Boyd, whom he loved as his own.  Subsequently, Jon was blessed with the birth of his daughter, Kayla, on 1-1-03 and the birth of his son, Hayden, on 1-3-07. Jon's career achievements included a certification as a knife smith most recently and had received various management awards through previous employment with companies that included Walmart, Radio Shack and Three Men and a Truck. Jon also received various awards as an Ebay retailer and was well respected in his community as a knife smith through his flea market store location in Acworth, Ga.
