Johnny N. Yates, Jr., 77 of Acworth, passed away Saturday, December 7, 2024.  Funeral services will be 8:00pm, Friday, December 13, 2024, in the Chapel of Collins Funeral Home, with the Rev. John Brooks officiating.  The family will receive friends 4:00-8:00 prior to the service, Collins Funeral Home, 4947 N. Main St., Acworth, GA 30101, 770.974.3133.

Johnny was born in Benton, TN and moved to Acworth in 1991.  He was a Iron worker welder for 40+ years with Local 704 and also Local 5 sheetmetal.  Johnny is survived by wife, Janet Yates of Acworth; sons David Yates and Cody Yates both of Alabama; daughter, Jennifer Carr of Acworth; sisters Julie Yates and Elizabeth Yates both of Cleveland, TN.
