John James Ross' Obituary
John James Ross, 80, of Acworth, died Wednesday, March 21, 2018. A viewing and visitation will be held from 5:00 until 8:00 on Monday evening, April 2, 2018, at Collins Funeral Home. Mr. Ross will be cremated following the service and his cremated remains will be carried to Toms River, New Jersey and buried in the family plot in Riverside Cemetery. A native of Brooklyn, NY, Mr. Ross lived in New Jersey before relocating to Georgia. Mr. Ross served his country in the US Army from 1961, until 1963. He retired as a zoning and code enforcement officer with Manchester Township, NJ and was of the Roman Catholic faith. Surviving are his wife of 55 ½ years, Carol J. Ross; children, Suzanne (Michael) Rainwater and John James (Antoinette) Ross, Jr; grandchildren, Cole, Gabriella, Dean, John David, and Gina; The family has requested that no flowers be sent to the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of John James Ross may be made to Saint Clare Catholic Church 6301 Cedarcrest Rd, NW, Acworth, GA 30101. Collins Funeral Home, Acworth, is in charge of the arrangements.
