John Wayne Daugherty, 63, of Acworth died Saturday May 20, 2017. Funeral Services will be at 1PM Thursday at the Marietta Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Wilbur officiating. Interment will follow in Greers Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery, Kennesaw. Mr. Daugherty served over 30 years with Western Electric, Lucent Technologies and currently OFS as a Production Specialist. He then served 7 years with the Cobb County Board of Education. He is survived by his wife Margie Allmon Daugherty, Acworth; 2 Sisters Glenna Faye Kerr, Pell City AL; Kathy Diane Reed, Canton; Brother Larry Gene Daugherty, Acworth. Nieces, Nephews and Great Nieces and Nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Tuesday evening and 1-4 and 6-8 PM Wednesday at Marietta Funeral Home.
