John A. Clark
, 76, of Marietta, died Thursday, February 11, 2016. A memorial service with full Navy Military Honors is scheduled for Saturday, February 27th at 11AM in the chapel of Marietta Funeral Home.
Mr. Clark was born in Pawtucket, RI. He is survived by his wife Pauline A Clark of Marietta; daughter Doreen Clark Harris, of Marietta; 2 granddaughters, Megan Harris and Frances Harris.
He served 23 years in the USN during which time he received many Navy awards including Amphibious Force Sailor of the year. He is a Veteran of the Vietnam War. During his time in Va. Beach, VA he was instrumental in forming the first Boys Scout Troop for boys with disabilities.
Upon his retirement from the Navy he worked at NAS Atlanta for over 15 years. During this time he became a dive instructor for IDEA. He was a member of the Marathon Yacht Club where he was the dock master. He also severed with the US Coast Guard Auxiliary in Marathon, FL.
The family will receive friends at a reception immediately following the service at their residence.

Interment at Georgia National Cemetery is scheduled for a later date.
