Joel A. Prewett's Obituary
Joel A. Prewett, 86, of Acworth, died Saturday, June 3, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 Sunday afternoon in the chapel of Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Rex Cox officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Prewett was born in Allatoona, Georgia and had lived in Acworth all of his life. He retired from Lockheed Martin Corp. as a Plant Stationary Manager after 60 years of service to the company and was a member of Acworth Lodge #176 F&AM. He is survived by his sons, Joel Anthony Prewett and Victor Prewett, both of Acworth; grandchildren, Brannon, Tiffany, and Levi Prewett all of Acworth; great grandson, Emanuel; brothers, William D. Prewett and Hugh Don Prewett, both of Acworth; sisters, Mae Prewett and Margaret Meeks, both of Acworth and Ann Bruce of Fairmount; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends prior to the funeral service on Sunday from 12:00 until 2:00 PM at Collins Funeral Home 4947 North Main St. Acworth, GA 30101 770-974-3133.
